Frequently Asked Questions about Underwater Video Training & Internship
- Do I need to have any video, film or photography skills before starting the course?
No, we will teach you anything you need to know to be able to shoot and produce a professional Underwater Video.
- I only have 10 days to do the Underwater Videographer Training. Can I get trained in such a short time?
Yes you can be trained in 8 to 10 days. It means we have to work a bit harder, no afternoons off, but if you are up for it, we are as well!
- Are the courses conducted all year round?
You can basically start your course whenever convenient for you. If more people sign up though, we would like to start you at the same time. In November we close for 1 month; it’s the rainy season then and the visibility is not that nice.
- Do I need my own diving equipment?
When you do the 2 week Underwater Videographer Training we will provide all your gear. If you decide to stay and do the Internship you should invest in your own equipment since you will be working for different dive shops on the Island. We can help you chose your equipment though and get you special discounts.
- Do I have to buy my own camera and housing if I do the Internship?
No you don’t have to invest in a camera and housing if you don’t want to. For the time of your Training, Internship and even if you decide to work with us for a little bit afterwards, you can always use our high-quality cameras and housings. If you are interested in buying your own kit, we can give you advice in what to invest.
- I am not a Divemaster but I would like to do the Internship and maybe work afterwards. Is that possible?
Minimum level for the Internship with Oceans Below is Rescue with 50 dives since you will be working with an Instructor on entry level courses and for much of your dives you will be diving independently. We can arrange your dive courses for you with one of our Dive Shops.
