Underwater video training graduate Scott shares his experiences from his time on Koh Tao, Thailand:

videography course on koh tao thailand

Having been a Television Production student at university I have got a fair bit of experience behind the camera on land and when the opportunity arose to try my hand at underwater videography I jumped at the chance.

Upon doing my dive training and reaching my 50th dive I was ready and raring to go start my training with the camera. The initial 2 week training was a great experience for me, the combination of great weather, beautiful dive sites and excellent teachers made everything move perfectly. Whereas I am used to making and producing films, nothing quite prepared me for seeing my underwater films come together.

Whilst still training with the camera underwater, I was able to record some stunning footage with the professional help of my mentors. On one dive I was even so fortunate to film a whale shark for as long as my air consumption would let me!

My videography training has left me with some forever lasting memories both on land and underwater. The staff and employees here at Oceans Below have welcomed me with open arms and have made my stay in Koh Tao really worthwhile. Everyone here is so friendly and even though we keep a very professional attitude towards work, there is always time to have a laugh and joke around.

I would instantly recommend the courses here to anyone interested.
