Underwater videographer Cat reports on her birthday!

I jumped on DJL boat this morning full of hope as two whales were spotted yesterday at south west. Was going for another OW underwater video to Chumphon and as the visibility is getting better and better those last weeks I was sure that 2 great dives were coming anyway. Indeed, Chumphon was lovely!

A bunch a chevron barracuda dancing around, lovely light, clear water, but unfortunately no whales :(. I was a bit disappointed... but those buddies were thinking about a little surprise for my birthday!!

Got to say it here: I saw my first whale for my 30's and I'm really excited about it, even if it was from the boat! Had the chance to see them pumping out several times very close from us and it was AWESOME!!

I thank the sea for that great great present and hope that more and more of those guys will come back soon around koh Tao.
